With IX3 animation coming to the Webflow MCP, now's a great time to create an Animation Standards agent instruction. You can create it based on your existing animations via MCP. Starter prompt: -- This site includes animation throughout. I want to make sure that's encoded as part of our brand system, by means of Agent Instructions. Create an Agent Instruction skill in Webflow via MCP that sets standards for animation, both in usage and style. Things like: • When to animate (ex: if something appears or changes, like a "reset" button on search, it should usually animate into place). • When not to animate • Styles for animation: easing, timing, amount, etc. • Prefers-reduced-motion support • Anything else you think is helpful Base this off of current animations, and for anything that doesn't have a clear basis already, create your own guideline that fits in with the site. Include our defined preference for animations: • CSS animation wherever possible • IX3 when CSS isn't the best solution • Custom JS only when something can't be accomplished by IX3/is better handled custom

I'm keen to find out too. Candidly I'm not the best equipped to speak to what it will be, dev experience-wise. And WF is figuring that out too, that's why there's a research preview - less of a "try the new thing" like a beta, more of a "tell us what you want it to be" working group. Can only really speak to my experience so far, like you said for what I built, and it was split between liking the Source interface more and liking Codex more. Hoping that moves in Source's direction as the team continues to get feedback and build it. But there's also a world where I end up preferring Codex/CC entirely for the building, and use Source for the CMS, visual editing, and assets. The other thing that I think might be a nice edge is views. Dedicated metadata view, SEO performance view, a11y audit view, etc. customized to how you want to see it. Or better yet, how you want clients to interact with it. I think views haven't been mentioned much yet, but will end up being really nice.

I think the LP explains it best webflow.com/source I think of it as a website work hub. In my use here, I only used the agent and the visual editing. Didn't work with the headless CMS, didn't create custom views, didn't connect any other martech, interact with team members, create purpose-built agents, set up permissions and logging, add analytics (probably should)... I'm missing some stuff for sure. And to be fair, that's not all fully built yet. But yeah, if you just want to build and host sites, it's a nice way to work with an agent and add visual editing. I basically just took the building agent for a spin, that's like the baseline of the platform.

@EricWOdom @webflow Definitely no more than a day for this. Of course, spread out over a few days of me forgetting to babysit the agent(s), but working time was real short. Helps that I went in with no plan and just went where the vibes took me, different approach than a production build.
