Surfing in the rain - limited vision, flattened seas … and one of my favourite experiences. This was a recent vintage surfboard festival. #ShotOniPhone

Exploring an abandoned mansion in Scotland, now being overtaken by the wild. Took 40 minutes walking through the woods to find. Must have been magnificent back in its day. The underground passages were creepy, and I got a bit lost trying to find my way out. #shotoniphone

My first Soviet-era camera. I’ve been looking around for an affordable vintage travel 6x9, and this Moskva5 rangefinder fits the bill. I just hope it arrives before I leave for the UK in a few weeks 😬

Edinburgh Reporter is a highly impressive news outlet - covers its patch intimately, knows its audience, delivers what they want in print and digital. And all run by one woman. Well done, Phyllis! 🙌

DiveVolk has released a new underwater housing - MaxPlus - to accommodate bigger phones such as #iPhone16ProMax . And there’s a new Bluetooth trigger. Iphone16 is the only iPhone with zero shutter lag, so press the button that’s what you get. #ShotOniPhone

Any mojo WirelessPro users using an AI-Micro and headphones: if you want to record two mics as separate tracks and monitor, don’t use “split” as you would using the Pros directly. The AI-Micro must be set to “stereo”. Thank you @rode customer support team.

@MarcSettle @EdinReporter Split will not work with the AI, only one mic will record. It must be stereo and into Input1. Both mics are then mono tracks and I change them to stereo in the edit.

@EdinReporter Surf resort? In Scotland in winter?? Maybe we should do a joint byline. Seriously, I’d be interested in doing a story on that.

@EdinReporter I have my WirelessPros set to Stereo because I record both mics in the AI-Micro, and the cable needs to go into the Mic1 input. I’ll be in Edinburgh for a few days before Christmas if you’re around, Phyllis.

I’ve not really bothered with Camera Control - seemed a bit of a gimmick - but in the BMD app it’s a much better experience. BMD’s commitment to this app and mobile filmmaking is impressive and should be applauded.
