I guess I'm resorting to a public tweet, because the @itchio support email has been completely unresponsive. I've been waiting two months for my payout requests to go through. I beg of you to actually respond to the people that use your website to make a living.
Itch support has gotten in contact with me. They explained what went wrong and they're actively solving the issue. Thank you to everyone for your words and support 💙

@SpeedFlame02 @itchio I will do so right away! I'd seen that before, but assumed it was no different than using their support email. Doesn't hurt to try though! I appreciate it.

@Mewfin_ All good! It's understandable to think that sites that are impersonating my game's name and aesthetic might be associated with me. Hopefully I can do something about them soon, though, so this stops happening to people.
I am still hard at work every day, improving the game o7 Currently working on a waveform overhaul (and more). In the meantime, some trivia: Did you know you can sit in the dub cinema, and drag the mouse to look around? I recommend seat A6--gives that neck-craning authenticity.

I guess I should probably find a business/copyright lawyer, because I'm getting sick of seeing dub recordings from the AI slop knockoff websites. If you're going to copy the dub concept, don't use The Choicer Voicer's name. It's intentionally deceiving people.
@obakepam When I added Dub Mode to The Choicer Voicer, I intended it to be for things like commercials, memes, or video game cutscenes. It just turned out that everyone wants to make packs from shows and movies 😅
@MechaGirlOTD Any "website version" of the game is a knockoff that's stealing my game's name for clicks, most of which are vibe-coded AI slop. I can't do anything about these sites, but I want it to be clear that they are NOT The Choicer Voicer, and I do not endorse them.
Version 0.5.3 is now live! I strongly recommend switching to it for one reason and one reason alone: Dub progress preservation. Seeing crashes mid-dub has been painful. If there's a crash, the game will now preserve your progress and ask if you want to continue where you left off

@deezuus I wouldn't be surprised. The only sites I endorse are my store page on Itch and the Neocities site I own. Over 95% of the search results for "Choicer Voicer" are copycats and slop stealing my game's name to get clicks. I wish I had to power to stop it
@SugiAoki I hope she enjoys! But I'm also terrified of it crashing in the middle of a long dub... I'm trying to finish an update that saves in-progress dubs in the case of crashes, but Sugi's faster than me apparently, haha
