@bornevents_ Agree. If the screen or the bot is standing where a host should be, cut it. Best onsite tech is invisible until wifi dies or a name is misspelled — then you notice what held.

Walk-ups and last-minute name changes are where large conferences actually break. The badge says one spelling. The registration form says another. Passport says a third. Someone bought a ticket at 7:42am and is already in the queue. Dashboards still show "registered." The door shows a line that isn't moving. If you've ever run a show with thousands at the door, you know: the boring ops between the form and the lanyard is the product for that hour.
