What a crazy idea it was to give someone else your money to “hold” for you. Ethereum solves this insanity

@naruto11eth talking about decentralization is not very helpful for scammers, grifters, and fintech opportunists, thus making the topic taboo in most crypto circles but in Ethereum circles it remains the priority youtube.com/watch?v=SMEOKD…

If you are security maximizing signatures and zkps, it’s obvious you should choose hash based cryptography. Choosing anything else means you have (real) tradeoffs that you are choosing above security

Reminder that we are becoming cryptographically “agile” instead of over-commiting to one schema. The best way to be prepared for the future is to be prepared to change.

This might be the biggest opportunity blockchains have ever had. Technology has mostly been built around durable yet centralized trust systems. But the factors acting against these systems are getting more powerful as we near Super Intelligence™️. Obviously code can break due

the a16z thing + Justin Drake acting like a bit of a FUDster recently had me doubting the Ethereum roadmap for a bit I dug around best I could as a non-mathematician and I think the Ethereum approach remains the best option here for Ethereum Alt-L1s like LayerZero desperately need any kind of narrative edge so they will try to play up this Lattice vs. hash thing, and legitimately it is somewhat of a debatable strategic choice on either side, but hash-based lets Ethereum go full speed ahead now and we could still ultimately do Lattice stuff for accounts, wallets, etc. through a precompile if it is proved to be AI-secure

Strong disagree. Lattices have juicy mathematical structure, ripe for AI to attack. And the succinct versions based on module SIS are too new -- only around since 2012. I recommend waiting another 3-5 years for AI to kick the tires, before entrusting serious $ with it. DYOR;

@EliBenSasson this doesn't fit the narrative needed to pump LayerZero's new chain so you're wrong 🤣 for once though I appreciate you actually saying something indirectly pro-Ethereum lol

Professional distance is bullshit. This broke my heart. He is an innocent kid who was early to Bitcoin, who used Bitcoin Fog for privacy, and maybe helped someone set up a website before Fog started operating, though no one is even sure of that. I don’t know what else to say.

The D.C. Circuit upheld Roman Sterlingov’s Bitcoin Fog convictions and 150-month sentence on Sept. 25. It upheld Reactor tracing testimony; his source-code request failed partly because he did not show the code was material. Analysis by @akibablade cryptoslate.com/bitcoin-fog-ap…
