🤩 The Brexit debate is moving very fast now. Bernd Lange, @berndlange chair of the European Parliament’s trade committee and a veteran of the Brexit negotiations, says Britain could move quickly into a *Switzerland plus* relationship with the EU. In other words, the choice is not simply: Hard Brexit forever or wait years for full re-entry. There are routes back towards deep economic integration much faster than that. And once again, the message from Europe is not stay away. It is: if Britain wants to come closer, the door is open.

This is stupidly good, a MAJOR upgrade! Very fast, significantly larger kv-pool, and up to 1m context. (@MiaAI_lab's TensorFold recipe is 20% faster). Cognisant ability is looking excellent. I've tested 400k context with 56 tok/s (YaRN x2) and go up to 1m tonight.

We cannot physically serve a trillion agents with existing infrastructure. The world doesn't have enough CPUs, GPUs, power, or space. So we have two options: 1/ compress the workloads in software so agents do more with less 2/ or get more out of the hardware itself. Probably both. And faster than anyone’s current roadmap assumes.

we're so damn cooked 😭 google's gemini 4 argon just did something actually crazy for fusion energy in 1967 a physicist named harold grad guessed that the magnetic fields inside twisty fusion reactors could never be solved exactly. people believed him for 59 years last month two papers finally proved him wrong. one of them used openai's GPT-6 Astra then google deepmind gave that paper to a team of argon agents and they found a whole new family of answers nobody had. the first answers showed up in a few hours. the paper literally says "promising candidates appeared within hours" NOT YEARS. HOURS!!!! the scientists checked every step by hand and it held up 59 years of humans vs a few hours of AI???? it's over. ai won.

The head of MI5, Ken McCallum, has now publicly confirmed that Russia did attempt to interfere in the 2016 Brexit referendum 👉through anti-EU coverage on RT and Sputnik and through troll and fake social-media activity. Nigel Farage appeared on Kremlin-funded Russia Today at least 17 times between 2010 and 2014. He did not deny being paid. McCallum says the observable impact appears to have been limited and stresses the difference between attempted interference and proven effect on the final result. That caveat matters. But it also exposes the weakness in the political line that there was simply no evidence of Russian interference. 🚨 There was interference. And that brings us back to the legal point @JMPSimor made: the integrity of a democratic process is not always judged solely by proving exactly how many votes were changed. We already had proven electoral-law breaches around the referendum campaign. We already had Theresa May’s own barrister telling the Court of Appeal that she was fully aware of the notorious facts and decided to continue regardless. Now MI5 confirms Russia also tried to interfere. So: What did the British state know, when did it know it, and why was there never a full statutory investigation before Parliament and government treated the referendum as the political mandate for Brexit? That is why a public inquiry under the Inquiries Act 2005 now looks increasingly urgent. Documents. Intelligence assessments. Cabinet papers. Witnesses under oath. The complete Article 50 decision-making trail. Because “we cannot prove precisely how many votes Russia changed” is not the same proposition as “the democratic process was safe and sound.”

This video is extraordinary to watch again now. In 2019, @JMPSimor explained to @mrjamesob the constitutional paradox at the heart of Brexit: the referendum was advisory, so the courts would not quash the result, even though the legal challenge argued it had been tainted by proven unlawful campaigning. She told @LBC that, had the referendum been legally binding, the result could have been set aside. So Britain was left with this absurd position: The referendum was not legally binding enough to be invalidated but it was treated politically as binding enough to take us out of the European Union. And that was not the only unresolved constitutional issue. My own 2018 judicial review, Webster v Secretary of State for Exiting the EU, challenged the missing Article 50(1) decision, the lawful decision to withdraw that had to precede notification. Parliament expressly authorised notification under Article 50(2), but never expressly enacted that antecedent decision. The courts refused permission in both cases. Now we are being told by the Prime Minister @andyburnham that Russia interfered in the 2016 referendum. This changes the context again. It does not automatically undo Brexit. But it makes one thing impossible to avoid: Britain needs a statutory public inquiry into the referendum, the intelligence, and the Article 50 decision-making process. We need documents. Witnesses under oath. The Cabinet record. The intelligence assessments. The legal trail. Because ten years on, the question is no longer simply whether Brexit was right or wrong. It is whether the British public and Parliament were ever told the full truth about how it happened.
