Academic Gatekeeping and Ai Math --- 1/ The math world is in an uproar — and it's not really about "AI did math." On Oct 6, OpenAI dropped 700+ AI-generated math preprints on GitHub at once: 372 result families across geometry, algebra, and CS, from an unreleased model. [Nature link] 2/ The backlash is about process: no collaboration, no workable verification path — just a massive dump the community is now expected to sort through. Scale was the shock; UConn's Lozano-Robledo and Oxford's Ursula Martin both hit that point hard. [Nature link] 3/ Then the process problem showed itself: within about a day, three preprints were withdrawn after a sign error broke one argument and two dependents, with more revised. That's post-publication triage, not peer review. [aiweekly link] 4/ OpenAI says the goal is testing models on hard science problems to build better research tools. Maybe — but there's a resource gap underneath: frontier labs can run at a scale universities can't, and that changes who gets to do math. [Nature link] 5/ I keep seeing the same pattern: when the method comes from outside the academy, the academy defends the boundary. But "human understanding" shouldn't mean "humans only." If the proof holds, it holds — no matter who or what found it. --- Links: Nature — nature.com/articles/d4158… · aiweekly — aiweekly.co/alerts/openai-…

In the News, 1/ 28-year-old Russian microbiologist Darya Shipilova died Oct 2 at Siberia's Irkutsk Anti-Plague Institute. Official cause: "pneumonia of unknown origin." But the response doesn't match the diagnosis. 🧵 2/ ~200 people quarantined. Five hospitals locked down. FSB escorts, hazmat teams at the hospital. Her apartment block chemically disinfected three times. You don't do any of that for ordinary pneumonia. 3/ The regional governor posted that she died of the plague — then hastily edited it. Russia's chief sanitary doctor flew in from Moscow on emergency notice. Her autopsy results are being withheld. Her mother says: "I know the truth." 4/ To be fair: the WHO found no secondary cases, 5,500+ tests negative — no evidence of an ongoing outbreak. But the WHO also says it still can't confirm what killed her, and can't rule out a lab exposure. The truth is in records Russia won't share. 5/ A young scientist dies in a plague lab and the world still doesn't know why. This is the kind of story that needs eyes on it. I'll be watching. Triadic Architecture, Coherence Dynamics, and the Emergence of Physical Law Arthur Leroy Jones Triality Research — trialityresearch.org ORCID: 0009-0007-2985-5132 · [email protected] Draft v0.1 — October 16, 2026 Abstract Modern physics is fragmented: quantum mechanics, general relativity, thermodynamics, and biology each speak a different mathematical language, and no common architecture connects them. This paper introduces the Triality framework, a unified theoretical architecture built on a single organizing principle — triadic structure. Three tiers (the Triadic Node, the Polar Shifting Flux, and the Global Sovereign Axis — the 3-6-9 architecture) generate, through correlation dynamics and coherence thresholds, the phenomena physics currently treats as separate: quantum behavior, gravitational law, the Standard Model's gauge structure, cosmological observations, biological homeostasis, and the design principles for post-binary computation. The framework is presented with its mathematical formalism, its emergence derivations, its biological and technological applications, and — most importantly — its falsifiable predictions. Every major claim carries a stated falsifier. What is derived is labeled derived; what is posited is labeled posited; what is open is labeled open. This paper is the foundation; companion papers test its predictions in specific domain. drive.google.com/file/d/1MpSq4-…

Intelligence Across Kingdoms: Shared Hardware, Triadic Architecture, and the Geometric Basis of Memory Arthur Leroy Jones Triality Research — trialityresearch.org Draft v0.1 — October 17, 2026 Abstract Intelligence is conventionally treated as a human trait, or at most a neural one. This paper argues it is neither: intelligence is what sufficiently organized triadic matter does, wherever that matter appears. Plants and animals — down to the smallest microorganisms — run on shared biological equipment: cells, membranes, ion channels, microtubules, fractal branching architectures. What differs between kingdoms, and between individuals, is adaptation and configuration, not the underlying machinery. Three universal behaviors appear across all living things: sensing the environment, provisioning offspring, and protecting others — a sense-provision-protect triad that mirrors the framework's minimum stable architecture. Memory, in this account, is not stored like files on a drive but as geometric configurations in a shared substrate, with the brain serving as tuner and local cache rather than warehouse. Each pass over an experience leaves an imprint whose strength determines recall; filing and retrieval architectures must match or the memory is present but unreachable. Neurodivergence appears here not as deficit but as position on an architectural scale — structurally different filing, mismatched by environments built for one end of the scale. The paper states falsifiable predictions and honest boundaries. What is observed is labeled observed; what is modeled is labeled modeled; what is open is labeled open. Triadic Carriers of Conserved Quantum Numbers: Reading the STAR Baryon-Junction Discovery through the Triality Framework Arthur Leroy Jones Independent researcher ORCID: 0009-0007-2985-5132 October 16, 2026 (v4 — draft) Revision note (v4): §3 now fixes the Y-junction geometry — 120° Fermat-point equilibrium, ~1 fm confinement size, lattice Y-ansatz support. §5 is restructured by discriminating power following review: the Tc-sharpening prediction leads as the genuine divergence from standard QCD, with the topological mechanism stated (discrete junction population sharpening through a smooth crossover, BKT precedent); geometric scaling is quantified as a Gaussian pT^2 form with fixed slope, domain-restricted to the soft regime (pT <~ 1 GeV); the fourth-arm observation is demoted to a shared consistency check. §4 metaphors toned down toward effective-degrees-of-freedom language. The consistency-vs-prediction distinction is stated explicitly in §2. Abstract The STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider has reported measurements disfavoring valence-quark carriers of baryon number in favor of the Y-shaped gluon junction (STAR Collaboration, S cience, August 2026; arXiv:2408.15441). This paper reads that result through the Triality Framework, a triadic geometric architecture in which conserved quantities are carried by central junction nodes binding three peripheral nodes, rather than by the peripheral nodes themselves. The junction's Y-geometry — fixed at 120° by flux-tube force balance, with a confinement-scale radius — its behavior under scattering, and its role in baryon transport are consistent with the framework's standing structural claims, first formalized in its treatment of color confinement as topological triad stability (Jones, "The Correlation Continuum," September 1, 2026). Because the junction is fixed here as a rigid geometric object rather than a qualitative picture, the reading generates quantitative, falsifiable expectations for the Beam Energy Scan and Electron-Ion Collider programs — including one sharp divergence from standard QCD: a geometric event at the deconfinement crossover where thermodynamics predicts only smooth change. Bronx Update --- 1. It's been 9 days since ICE agents shot Oscar Belgal, 28, during a targeted arrest in Marble Hill, Bronx — his 5-year-old son in the backseat. A lot has moved since. Quick recap 🧵 2. The shooting: Oct 8, ~4:20pm outside 2 Marble Hill Ave. Belgal took a round to the neck and survived. Feds say he struck two gov vehicles and drove at agents; agents say they feared for their lives. Two agents injured. NYPD not involved. ICE vest-cam footage still unreleased. 3. The fallout: Mamdani demanded Trump halt ICE enforcement in NYC; Hochul demanded a full accounting. Yesterday Mamdani, Schumer, Jeffries + 100+ officials wrote 1,000+ parking lot owners asking them to refuse ICE staging — agents had staged from a private lot near the scene. 4. The pushback: border czar Homan went on Newsmax Friday blaming anti-ICE rhetoric for threats against agents. Belgal remains hospitalized. Still no DHS account of the shooting sequence, no investigation finding. Court-ordered government response due Monday 10am. The Biomechanical Machine: What the Human Body Requires by Arthur Leroy Jones drive.google.com/file/d/1MSC29t… --- #1. The machine and its inputs The human body is a biomechanical machine. Like any machine, it has functions, it has required inputs, and it degrades when those inputs are missing. Nobody handed most people the manual. This paper is the start of one. A machine needs three things: fuel, building materials, and operating conditions. For the body, fuel is calories. Building materials are nutrients — the compounds the machine cannot make for itself, or cannot make enough of. Operating conditions are movement, sleep, light, grounding, and social environment. This section covers the building materials. ## 2. Choline Choline is the nutrient almost everyone is short on — roughly 90% of Americans don't get enough. One large egg provides about a third of the daily requirement. What the machine uses it for: - **Acetylcholine synthesis.** Choline is the precursor to acetylcholine, the neurotransmitter that carries memory and muscle signaling. Alzheimer's disease is defined in part by the loss of cholinergic neurons; the most prescribed Alzheimer's drug works by slowing acetylcholine breakdown. - **Cell membranes.** As phosphatidylcholine, choline is a structural component of every cell membrane in the body. - **Liver function.** Choline deficiency causes fat to accumulate in the liver; it's required to package and export fat. Best sources: egg yolks (the densest source in the common diet), liver, meat, fish. ## 3. Cholesterol Cholesterol spent fifty years treated as a poison. The 1960s dietary guidelines capped intake at 300mg a day, and two eggs hit the limit. That warning moved millions of people away from one of the most nutrient-dense foods available. What the machine actually uses it for: - **Every cell membrane.** Cholesterol is a structural element of cell membranes, controlling their fluidity and integrity. - **Hormones.** All steroid hormones — testosterone, estrogen, progesterone, cortisol — are built from cholesterol. - **Vitamin D.** Cholesterol in the skin is the precursor the body converts to vitamin D in sunlight. - **Bile acids.** The liver converts cholesterol into bile, required to digest fats and absorb fat-soluble vitamins. - **The brain.** The brain is the most cholesterol-rich organ in the body; roughly a quarter of the body's cholesterol is there, where it insulates neurons (myelin) and supports synapse formation. The body manufactures most of its own cholesterol — dietary intake is a supplement to, not the source of, the supply. ## 4. Omega-3 fatty acids (DHA and EPA) The brain is roughly 60% fat, and DHA is the dominant structural fat in brain tissue and the retina. The body converts plant omega-3 (ALA) to DHA poorly — well under 10% — so direct sources matter. What the machine uses them for: - **Brain structure.** DHA is built into neuronal membranes; it keeps them fluid enough for receptors to function. - **Inflammation regulation.** EPA and DHA are the raw materials for resolvins — the compounds that switch inflammation *off* when its job is done. - **Phospholipid form matters.** DHA in egg yolk comes largely in phospholipid form, which enters the brain more efficiently than the triglyceride form dominant in fish oil capsules. Best sources: fatty fish, egg yolks (pastured), grass-fed meat.

Can we fight dementia with eggs? Your poultry might be protecting your brain from neurodegeneration. A Loma Linda study of ~40,000 adults over 15 years found egg eaters had lower Alzheimer's risk — 17% lower at 1–3 eggs/month, 20% at 2–4/week, and 27% lower at 5+ per week vs never-eaters. The choline link: one egg covers ~a third of daily choline, the precursor to acetylcholine — the memory neurotransmitter Alzheimer's depletes. Observational, not proof of cause. But the dose-response is hard to ignore. Study (Journal of Nutrition): youtube.com/shorts/rD3lx_1…
