Always fun to join the Napa County Bicycle Coalition for a ride through our beautiful district. Thank you, Napa County Bicycle Coalition, for all your work building better bicycling infrastructure in Napa. Honored to help support your efforts in Congress by having secured $4,850,000 for the Napa Valley Vine Trail.

Today marks 54 years of the Clean Water Act. This landmark legislation helps prevent pollution in our water, ensures safe drinking water for all, and preserves our natural resources for generations to come.

Our national wildlife refuges play a vital role in protecting wildlife and preserving America’s natural heritage. That’s why I joined @robwittman to introduce a resolution to designate the week of October 10 as National Wildlife Refuge Week. Wildlife refuges give Americans opportunities to enjoy hunting, fishing, and wildlife observation, and this week acknowledges the importance of these public lands and the need to conserve them for future generations.

Thank you, Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, for meeting with me to discuss issues impacting our small business community. It was great to tour the “Business One Stop Shop” opening soon for entrepreneurs to receive all the help and resources they need to start their own businesses.

Excited to have gotten the chance to stop by @landwatercoffee, a local coffee roaster and café in Santa Rosa. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and I’ll keep fighting to ensure they have the support they need to thrive.

Nidal Hasan committed a heinous crime against U.S servicemembers and his victims and their families deserve justice. That does not mean that his execution should be a public spectacle. I spoke out against this idea. It’s the right choice that this administration listened to the public and canceled its plans to livestream this execution.

Ukrainians are dying because this administration directed Elon Musk to turn off the Starlink satellite system which helps Ukraine fight back against Russia. Mr. President, stop interfering with Ukraine’s fight for their freedom, stop funding Russia's war machine, and start sanctioning Russia. thehill.com/policy/technol…

Grieving military families should not be forced to make urgent, consequential financial decisions soon after losing a loved one. Grateful to work with Gold Star families and Representatives @RepGregSteube, @RepJuanVargas, and @RepJackBergman on my GRACE for Military Survivors Act. This bill would extend the period in which surviving military families can choose how to handle their benefits, extending the window from one year to three years. This gives families the time and space they need to make critical financial decisions.

Our immigrant community deserves to feel safe. With the Administration’s announced plans for immigration raids across our state, it’s important everyone in our community understands their legal rights. If you are a constituent of the 4th district and are facing an issue with federal immigration services or enforcement, contact my office at 202-225-3311.
